Hi! I'm Anna

I am an exchange student from Iowa State University studying at the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland for the spring semester. I originally grew up on a farm in North Central Iowa which is where I developed my interest in horticulture. My dad was in the United States Marine Corps and had the ability to go on a military exchange in England. Through this experience, my parents had the opportunity to travel all over the world and eventually share their love of traveling with my siblings and I. My dad's family originates from Ireland; however, as a family, we have not had the opportunity to spend time and explore the rolling green hills of Ireland. As a horticulture student, I am excited for the opportunity to learn and study about Irish agriculture.

I have always been intrigued by the Emerald Isle... it's rugged coastal cliffs, its barrels and barrels of Guinness, and its undeniably long and difficult history. After reading a few books, I am beginning to understand some of the Irish culture, and I cannot wait to go more in depth in my studies and travels.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or comments you may have while I am abroad! I would love to have the opportunity to  talk with each of you if I can!
